Tyne Tour 4th-6th November

Postby Tom Street » Mon Oct 17, 2016 6:59 pm

Hey guys! Tyne Tour is almost here and it's time to sign up. We may be a bit short on safety and drivers this year so if that is the case and we can't take everyone it will be first come first serve, so sign up fast!

The details:
We will drive up on the Friday (4th) and set up camp.
Saturday we will paddle the River Tyne which will take up most of the day. Then in the evening there is a bonfire in Hexham. After the bonfire we will head back to the campsite where there is a Ceilidh which will be great fun!
Sunday we will pack up camp and then possibly head to the River tees. This will be for the more experienced paddlers but depending on how well you do on the Saturday you may be able to jump on as well! After paddling we will head back to Lancaster.

Kit for the weekend:
You will need a t e n t. If you haven't got one we will try to fit you into someone else's t e n t.
A warm sleeping bag, roll mat and pillow.
Thermals for paddling and perhaps a fleece that can get wet as it will be cold on the water!
Lots of warm spare clothes!!
Waterproofs incase it rains
Hat and gloves
Some food for on the water and breakfast (or you could buy it in Hexham on Friday)
Walking boots or wellies (campsite will be very muddy!) and a pair of trainers that can get wet for paddling
Basically prepare for a cold weekend camping!

Costs:
Full tour: All in pass including Ceilidh £26
Ceilidh only £20
Weekend paddling: 2 day paddling pass (Ceilidh not included) £16
Tyne Tour t-shirt £6
