BUCCCCCCCCS Slalom 2016/17

Postby KirstenLee » Sun Jan 15, 2017 7:13 pm

Hey peeps,

BUCCCCCCCCS slalom is fast approaching - 4 weeks from now to be exact. I need to get entries in asap, so if you could sign up sooner rather than later that would be great.

When? 11/12th February
Where? Tees Barrage White water course
Will it cost me anything? all entries and fuel are covered, the only thing that needs paying for is accommodation (around £20 for 2 nights). We'll be staying at metro inns again so there is a kitchen there.
Do I have to be a certain standard? Ideally if you can stay upright on G2/3 whilst paddling in and out of eddies that'd be great.
Can I enter multiple disciplines, even ones I don't have as much experience in? Yes, as the course is short, even if you swim there should be safety around to grab you/ your boat before it gets broken (lets try not to break kit this year though please).

I have intentions of going to practice on the 2 weekends prior to it, somewhere with gates, but that is TBC.

Please note, an Open Team can be made of any 3 boats per team of any gender of person. A Mixed Team can be made up of 3 boats per team and is open to all boats of either gender except Men’s K1.
In addition, an individual competitor may only enter each Team Event once and if entering both the Open and Mixed Team Events must paddle a different boat class in each, so a competitor cannot paddle their K1, C1 or C2 in both an Open and a Mixed Team.
